He did not crash and was not hurt in the bad crash on the final stage. However, he was caught behind it. Another rider fell into him and the other rider's bike actually broke JS's bike in the mishap. JS also skidded to a stop, which ripped a hole in his tubular and he had some broken spokes in his rear wheel. All in all it was a disappointing way for the Tour to end for JS. But he is OK!
