What better way to start the season but with the famous Mufferaw Joe ride hosted by the West of Quebec Wheelers. This year it will be on May 5th, 2013. As usual there will be 2 rides. A short one of about 80k and a long one of about 130k. The maps for both rides are at the following location:
Registration is at 9 AM at Gavin’s in Quyon, Qc. Departure is at 10 AM. Fee is 25$ and includes a hot meal after the ride.
Are you tired of winter and crawling the walls? Do you need to blow off some steam? What better way to do it than riding a bike as fast and as hard as you can a bunch of times, while drinking beer. Yes, I know, all your dreams are coming thue. The best part, it only costs 10$. It’s on March 16th at 180 Argyle Avenue. The doors open at 6:30 and the racing starts at 7:30. Don’t be late!
P.S. Possibility of a youth race if enough kids are present.
West of Quebec Wheelers John Large, Brent Atkins and Harry Musson took Roller Racing on the road this weekend to Peterborough where the Peterborough Cycling Club held their 2013 Open House. The event was held at the Wild Rock Outfitters and it was the hit of the night. You can read more about it and view pics here:
